Top executives from several prominent shipping companies project that scrubber demand has peaked for now.

In just a few weeks, the sudden drop in the oil price has decimated the advantage for ships with exhaust gas cleaning systems installed, as high-sulfur fuel oil is no longer significantly cheaper than environmentally friendly fuel.
