MAN Energy Solutions' Danish employees face wage reductions

The large cost-cutting plan facing MAN Energy Solutions does not change the number of jobs set to be cut in Denmark. The new wage requirements, which were a condition for the German owner's approval, apply to all locations, including Denmark.

Although the number of positions to be cut at MAN Energy Solutions globally has been significantly reduced, it will not change the number of jobs cut in the company's Danish division.

On Monday, management and employees at the the group's headquarters in Augsburg, Germany, presented an otherwise reduced version of the comprehensive cost-cutting plan that will hopefully get the engine manufacturer through its current financial woes. Instead of cutting 4,000 positions, the figure is now down to 2,600.
