Inmarsat to attract maritime customers with new satellite communications network

Inmarsat makes satellite communications available to new customer segments, including shipping and maritime customers.

Communications via satellite is changing rapidly, and communications provider Inmarsat is following the technological trend with a new network that unites several types of satellite and 5G.

The new network, Orchestra, connects geostationary satellites with low-orbit satellites, also known as LEO satellites, with 5G mobile networks.

Schedule reliability among container lines drops to historic low
