Russians acquire remains of STX yard in Finland

STX Finland has sold its 50 percent stake in shipyard Arctech Helsinki Shipyard to Russian United Shipbuilding Corporation, which now owns the entire company, says the yard.

Finnish yard Arctech Helsinki Shipyard, which specializes in ships for Arctic sailing, is now owned 100 percent by Russian United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), as the group has acquired 50 percent of the shares from STX Finland, a subsidiary of STX Europe owned by parties in South Korea.
