OW Bunker's Norwegian subsidiary Bergen Bunkers has been presented with a combined claim for around USD 570 million from a series of banks with alleged outstanding receivables in the collapsed Danish bunker company.

Bergen Bunkers was declared bankrupt after the collapse of parent company OW Bunker in November, and now 13 banks - including Danske Bank, Nordea, Swiss UBS and French Société Générale - citing guarantees, have filed a claim for USD 570 million in outstanding receivables, reports Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv.
