Alfa Laval struck by low oil price and few newbuildings

Swedish supplier Alfa Laval received fewer orders in the first quarter 2016 compared to the same period last year. This development is attributed to the tough market conditions in the shipping and offshore industry.

Alfa Laval is impacted by the declining orders in shipping and offshore, where the industries continue to struggle with low freight rates and plunging oil prices.

The revenue as well as the operating result went down in the first quarter of 2016 for the Stockholm-listed equipment supplier, according to the company's financial summary.
