Clarksons: Robust earnings in challenging shipping markets

The world's biggest shipbroker, listed UK-based Clarksons, took a hit to its operating profit as a result of significantly lower freight rates and asset values, though this was largely offset by growing transaction volumes, a larger market share, and a stronger US dollar, Clarksons writes Monday in a financial report.
