BBC Chartering: We all took a hit in 2013

“Everything is very short-sighted today. The ones with the projects are free to pick and choose," says Svend Andersen, CEO of BBC Chartering. He estimates that the market for multipurpose and heavy lift decreased 10-15 percent in 2013.

There were great expectations in 2012 for an imminent rebound within the circle of specialised carriers that can transport large and heavy structures for industries such as offshore windmills and construction.
