Report: Attacks on vessels in Asia declined in Q1

In the first quarter, the number of attacks on vessels in Asia reached the lowest point in four years, according to a report from organization ReCAAP. A big decline since the same period last year.

The number of attacks on vessels in Asia is headed in the right direction. In the first three months of the year, from January to March, 14 incidents have been reported, according to a new report from the organization ReCAAP. This represents a 68 percent decline compared to the same period last year. At the same time, this is the lowest number in the past four years. Since September, there have been no hijackings of tankers for theft of the attractive cargo.
